High glaciated and rugged peaks of granite rise to the east of the popular Garibaldi Lakes and Elphin Lakes areas of Garibaldi Park. Granite forms deep in the earth from melted rock and has been brought to surface by the uplift and ongoing erosion of the Coast Mountains over the past millions of years.
